BecomeGLOCAL seeks to build capacities to modernise Internationalisation of the Curriculum by creating synergies amongst regional Higher Education Institutions in Latin America and Europe

BecomeGLOCAL seeks to build capacities to modernise Internationalisation of the Curriculum by creating synergies amongst regional Higher Education Institutions in Latin America and Europe, through partnerships with local industries, in order to develop employability and global interaction skills through glocal (global and local) challenges in the labour market.
The project addresses regional priority areas such as stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices, promoting a comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning, and promoting inter-connected higher education systems, by engaging entrepreneurs and students in co-designing courses along with lecturers from Latin American and European HEIs through facilitated critical dialogues in order to promote employability and global interaction skills that match their labour markets. Interdisciplinary approaches and Innovative pedagogies such as work-integrated learning, global learning for global citizenship (including Collaborative Online International Learning), and English-medium instruction in professional courses will be promoted not only in the training of lecturers but also in the teaching of joint international employability and global interaction courses supported by the business sector with short field internships.
BecomeGLOCAL intends to transfer knowledge and capacities to internationalise curriculum courses in partnership with the industry to foster employability and global interaction skills as well as address glocal challenges in the labour market via hybrid workshops and conferences through Internationalisation of Higher Education Networks in Latin America and MOOCs addressing HEIs academics and Industry workers. Working with industry in Latin America and Europe will incorporate local, national and international perspectives, which should better prepare students for entering the workforce in the national labour market or in a foreign country.
